Hi, I’m Forrest. I’m a content creator, veteran, and American expat living in Bangkok, Thailand. I was dissatisfied with the direction things were headed back in the U.S. and decided to sell all my belongings and move to Thailand. I have never looked back. Now, I’m living financially independent as an expat in Bangkok, providing lifestyle and travel content for future residents and travelers through sharing my on-the-ground experience of life in Thailand.

Designed for vloggers, the Sony ECM B-10 is the ideal run and gun mic for Sony Cameras. With super-directivity, it is ideal for interviews, wide angle shots, and vlogs, capturing sound using three switchable directivity patterns in one compact microphone. Quick, lightweight, affordable, and comes with a windscreen for recording outdoors.
The Rode Wireless GO II may be the most versatile microphone combo available at its price point. This is what I use for recording interviews or when I need to be discrete. It pairs perfectly with an iPhone, a GoPro, and of course, with any full size camera setup.
Seems no travel vlog these days is complete with epic sweeping drone shots. With its pocket sized form factor, the DJI Mini 2 is something I can recommend without hesitation. Pick one of these up and level up your content. It’s one piece of kit that I always take with me “just in case.”
Never underestimate the need for a solid travel tripod. Whether you need to capture low-light photography, or just need a place to mount your camera while you do some talking-head content, something like the Peak Design Travel Tripod is a must for any serious content creator.
